Quoll Call 2: The Harbor is Here

Hello again, Curious Crowd! It’s been a minute since our last Quoll Call, and in true indie fashion, we’ve been busy beavers since then. The past couple weeks of elbow grease were to prep for this announcement: Rook Harbor has officially set sail.

If you’re new here, Rook Harbor is our twist on the classic chess piece, giving it its own strategic race-to-the-middle game. Think chess-style movement, a hand of cards, and a color-coded board that’ll have you pondering strategies in no time. It’s quick to learn, quick to play, and makes demanding “one more game” a little too easy.

Thanks to plenty of in-person playtesting (shoutout everyone who pushed pieces around a table for us), the gameplay has been polished to a shine; what you’re getting now is Rook Harbor at its most shipshape.

Speaking of shipping: the full game is live on our site now, including several ways to reach the harbor in style. Grab the DIY Edition to get playing right away with printable parts, level up with the physical Gear Bundle, or go all in with the Deluxe Edition for a custom board and card deck, wooden pieces, a translucent D10 die, and a few extra flourishes (plus free shipping, stickers, and a handwritten thank-you note from us).

That’s the news from the harbor for now, but there’s always more on the horizon! We'll drop some nifty behind-the-scenes info about Rook Harbor in the next post. We’re also still getting our social media sea legs, so give us a follow (links below) to catch new content and updates as they happen.

Until the next Quoll Call - stay curious, friends.
